I think I have blogger's block.

Hello little blog of mine. Hello wondiferously awesome readers. How are you? I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while. Every time I sit down to write a blog post, this is what happens in my brain:

I'm having blogger's block! I'm sure I have all those radtastic things to write about on here, but every time I sit down to do a post they disappear into the land of lost blog post ideas.

So, I will leave you with a little bit of news and a question.

First, the news: I'm starting a new job on Monday! I can now say I'm officially working in publishing. Yay for that!

Second, the question: Is there anything in particular that you wish someone would do a post one. Something that your dying to read but it hasn't popped up on a blog yet? Or just anything in general that you like to read about? My befuddled brain could do with a bit of a nudge.

Oh, and one last question, how are you all doing? I miss you!

  1. Congratulations on your new job! Yay! :D
As for blogger's block - I've had a lot of that recently. There's only so much I can do in a day - and it varies from day to day at that. So...things just don't get done. Superwoman I ain't, even though I so would like to be ;)
In spite of everything (including shelving for the moment Mystery in Morocco) I've just finished the first draft of a gentle romance with hint of mystery, short story, 7,000 words. Set in a remote glen in Scotland.
Have fun Sari! Blog when you can :)

  2. Oh, that tumbleweed looks familiar. I get terrible bouts of blogger's block. But congratulations on the new job! Actually, I'd love to hear about that! : )

  3. Ahhhhhhhhh! I KNOW THIS FEELING!!!

Hang in there. You might not know it yet, but whilst your back is turned, your blogger profile is conspiring against you, shielding your blogger with an invisible fortress. I find cannons and flares work rather nicely :D

Hmm...lets see if I can help provide some "cannons" (aka fodder for the brain). Inspiration? Finding the courage to start a "new" story? The problem of perpetual daydreaming? (though that might not really be a problem, lol) How do you develop your MC's personality?

ps YAY for the pub job!

  4. No post ideas in mind, but I LOVE the tumble weed image! Bahahaha! Reminds me of my "hood" in Idaho. Funny  ( :

Good luck with your blogging! And just think... at least you're not having a block over BOOK writing!

  5. I hate it when that happens. I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions, but good luck with your new job! That'll probably give you lots of fodder for posting. :)

  6. I think I may have blogger's block too! As for what I want to see posts on...eh, not really. I really like to read about other people's writing/editing/etc. achievements. I guess I like to be able to share my own progress, and love the 'sharing' that goes on in this community.

  7. Your ideas must be hanging out with me. I have a long, long list of post topics that gets longer faster than I can write them. It's frustrating. Probably not as frustrating as a lack of ideas, though.

  9. Good luck with your job! You'll defiantly have to blog about what it's like working in publishing--at least I would like to read about it.

    I gave you a shout-out on my blog. :)

  11. Definitely want to know more about publishing. I'd like to see posts like, "I learned this today and I think every writer should know..."  I think we all want to be more knowledgeable about that side of writing.

  13. Congrats! that is awesome news.

I would love a post that tells me how to re-invent my MC as i love the support characters but not the MC.
lol she is driving me nuts the past week. She needs a major character overhall. Boring little tart. (sorry MC)

Sorry i don't really i'm just annoyed at myself. Have decided i need to go back and do some more characterisation and look at what plot points she is interacting with.

Anyway, have an awesome weekend and good luck with the job. I start my new job Monday week!

  14. Hey Sari, check out this chick, she reminds me of you because you're both tall and have strawberry blonde hair and I just miss you so will think anyone remotely similar is you! I left her a comment to check you out so here I am telling you to check out this quirky aspiring actress. http://www.youtube.com/user/MeetZoe?v=Ld5mJ0T150g&feature=pyv&ad=10483418749&kw=video#p/a/u/0/nsgY8yFW7-I you could just google her but here's a link to her first Vlog.
