Book heaven! I'm still waiting for three more (Delirium, Supernaturally and Finnikin of the Rock). I finished Divergent in a day (ZOMG! So amazing. A must read.) and I'm about to get started on Demonglass.
Sigh ... I love holidays with books. Oh yea, did I mention I'm on holiday? Uni tests are finished for the semester and now I have a month off. Which is also why I signed up for this:
To participate in Australia's National Young Writers' Month, you have to have a goal. Mine is:
Finish revisions on Blood Legacy in June.Hopefully all the reading I plan on doing won't get in the way of completing my goal.
How 'bout you? What are your writing (or reading) goals for June? Have you read any of these books?
Thanks, Kari Marie! I'll need the luck to counter my slackness. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI want to finish a prequel to my first novel and publish both of them by the end of July. So I have a busy couple of months ahead of me.
ReplyDeleteDivergent is definitely on my list! - I love getting a big book order show up on my doorstep! But I'm trying to cut back on reading for the next few months in order to finish my writing goal - revision and getting query-ready on my WiP!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a major fit of jealousy over here. My budget is limited for books this summer, so I've got to make do with the library.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your revisions! I'm writing 2,000 words a day for JuNoWriMo-- if you want to join, you can hop over to my blog! It's a NaNo for any writing goals throughout the month of June!
I love that you have reading and writing goals. This is something I really must get into!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm so happy to hear you liked Divergent! Its at the tip-top of my to-read list!! So excited to hear its a good one! Although, like Shallee, my book budget is limited, so I'm having to make do with the libarary wait list this summer. Booooo!!!
My writing goal for June is to finish plotting my novel. (I'm taking the HTTS course and I'm working through month 2.)
ReplyDeleteHi Sari. Those look some great books. I'm jealous. Divergent & Demonglass are both in on tbr list.
ReplyDeleteGood luck reaching your goal for June. Mine is to make a hefty dent in revisions. I've never revised a novel before so I don't really know how long it will take overall.
Demonglass is really good! Then again I am a big fan of Rachel Hawkins. As for my writing goals, I'm planning out my plot for the novel I want to write in July for Camp Nanowrimo.
ReplyDeleteI'm read White Cat because I love Holly Black.
ReplyDeleteI also recently bought Divergent so I'll be reading that soon.
Haven't read those books but the amount you're talking about them, I kind of think I should!
ReplyDeleteSo how are your goals coming along so far?
My blog Amish Stories is having its first ever contest this week. The First prize winner will win 2 tickets to tour the farm where the 1985 move "Witness" staring Harrison Ford and Kelly Mcgillis was made in Strasburg,Pa . This farm is now Amish owned, and the family has given permission for folks to tour their farm. This may be the last time anyone will be able to walk and see the same things that Harrison Ford and the other actors saw during the making of "Witness". The Witness tour should last about 2.5 hours. In addition to the Witness farm tour tickets, 1st prize winner will also receive 2 tickets for Jacobs choice. There will also be a 2nd place prize, which will be 2 tickets for the Amish Homestead. Please go to My blog www.AmishStorys.com for contest details, and more information on the prizes. Richard from the Amish settlement of Lebanon county.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your goal for June and Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteVery busy! Good luck. :)
ReplyDeleteLol. The problem with having both types of goals is that the reading ones always end up taking all the time away from the writing ones.
ReplyDeleteOh you should definitely read Divergent! So so good.
Oh that's a good goal, Stephanie. I really need to get back into HtTS. I started it but never got around to finishing it. Maybe that should be one of my goals.
ReplyDeleteI've never revised a novel before, either, so we're learning together. :) But I have so much time on my hands at the moment and I need to make myself use it productively.
ReplyDeleteOh good, I can't wait to read it. I loved Hex Hall. Good luck with your plot!
ReplyDeleteLol. Don't ask me that! Uhhmmm... great?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brenda! I'm trying to make myself pace myself with the books. Otherwise I'd have them all read in a week. O.O
ReplyDeleteThose books do look pretty together. Good luck on your writing goal for June. Have fun reading during your holiday! :D
