I am a ninja

Yesterday I gave myself a major kick up the bum and wrote 4,371 words on my WIP. It was fantastic, like breaking down the walls of writer's block that has been holding me back for such a long time. I'll blog about how I did it next week, in case anyone else is struggling with the same issue and needs some inspiration.

I have around 15k words to go, so my revised goal is to have the first draft finished by the end of February at the latest. Having the end in sight is such a good feeling. Even though it's not really the end. The current WIP is only the first in two books so I still have another whole novel length MS to go on this story.

To help me stick to this goal, I've signed up for Ali Cross's Ninja Novel Writing Month of February. For those who want to do nanowrimo but wish it didn't have to be in November.

Is anyone keen on joining us? What are you waiting for? Go forth and sign up. Also, you can get one of these super cute ninja buttons =>

  1. I might do this, I saw it elsewhere, just maybe not this month. I'm starting to worry that I may end up not liking my NaNo novel as I jump into a second draft. If I need a whole new idea to start my mind fresh, I'll be at the dojo. :D

  2. Great word count SariBelle! :)

Thanks for the offer but I won't be joining you for the NNWM. I'll cheer from the sidelines though!

I'm trying to work my way through various projects at a sedate pace. I love NaNo. It has some awesome consequences. It can also get me into all sorts of problems :D
I'm currently unravelling some of those problems from 2009.
2010's offer is lurking in the depths of the computer...waiting...

Good luck with hitting your goal. You can do it! :)

  3. Madeline, I hope your second draft goes well. Get yourself some good crit buddies if you haven't already. They can solve a world of problems.

Prue, slow and steady wins the race! If I'm honest I probably wouldn't have signed up for NNWM if I was starting from scratch, but I have so few words left to go I just want a solid deadline.

Good luck unravelling your 2009 & 2010 Nano's. I'm sure they're not nearly as twisted as you think they are ;).

    Thanks for dropping in.
