Uhmm... yeah. A liiiiittle insane. Anyway, I realized that nothing was rushing me. So I ended up taking away that goal, because rushing through revisions wouldn't exactly be helping me.

:-)Misha Gerickehttp://twitter.com/MishaMFBnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2027764684411261787.post-84580865046910585642012-01-20T21:05:03.563+11:002012-01-20T21:05:03.563+11:00Nice blog you have here!

I always do that. Measuring writing progress is weird that way. Not all of the effort you put into it is always reflected on paper - or in the form of a list of tasks you can cross out with a big black mark. It's daunting in the revision stage because sometimes accomplishing one thing (i.e., figuring out plans for a new beginning) results more in additional work to do (i.e., rewrite) than in finalizing something. Argh!

But all that thinking and planning work is an accomplishment and it's important, hard work, even if it's not easily measurable.Anonymeethttp://anonymeet.livejournal.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2027764684411261787.post-18128825633807672242012-01-20T21:04:52.570+11:002012-01-20T21:04:52.570+11:00Here, it's probably because she recently chang...Here, it's probably because she recently changed her URL.Brooke R. My pub wanted a short story turned to a Novella so I had to ditch the WIP and get that done. :) I still hope to finish the rough draft by July 15th. And that's the point of goals, right? To get us motivated to work! Way to go on your progress.

I did a "JuNoWriMo" this month, and though I didn't write 2,000 words EVERY day like I'd planned, I still wrote every day-- some days more, some days less. And in the end, I got in about 50,000 words on my new WIP! I'm pretty excited about it. :)Shallee McArthurnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2027764684411261787.post-21672791995805363442012-01-20T21:04:46.546+11:002012-01-20T21:04:46.546+11:00Ah...GOALS!!! Not setting high standards for myself has meant that I've surprised myself and done much more than I'd expected (almost done with revisions!!!...for now :D )

But I hear ya! There never seems to be enough time to handle everything we want to, and there really isn't enough to write (let's face it...given the opportunity, we'd write non-stop and that's not possible). But at least you're making progress!!!!Barbara Klossnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2027764684411261787.post-3091251258596911932012-01-20T21:04:43.656+11:002012-01-20T21:04:43.656+11:00Looks like you've made some progress.
